3D-LIF (3-Dimensional Laser Induced Fluorescence)

A 3D Laser-Induced Fluorescence (LIF) system can mapping the three dimensional tracer concentration field in turbulent flows.Wastewaters and atmospheric pollutants are often released into the environment as turbulent buoyant jets, in order to generate efficient mixing and rapid dilution that substantially reduces the concentrations of potential pollutants. Although such flows have been extensively studied over many years, and many mathematical models of their behavior exist, laboratory experimental studies are still needed because of the complex nature of these flows, that may include merging of multiple jets, and the effects of boundaries, ambient flows, and density stratification.
